The results of a two-year planner's study to determine the need for a Centre Region Cultural Center will be released March 20.

SPORTS
 
For most college football players, spring is a rather dull season. The roar of the crowd is replaced by the clank of weights; the thrill of competition is substituted by the drudgery of physical conditioning. For one Penn State player, however, spring is another chance in the spotlight.
 
Lisa Posthumus won her first gold medal in junior national competition last weekend by winning the junior national championship in women's epee at the Junior Olympics held in Chicago.
 
The men's volleyball team will have to deal with the Haitian Sensations and the Cyprus Standouts when it faces Rutgers-Newark at 7:30 tonight in Rec Hall.
 
The spark in Carrie Arnesen's gymnastics career started in a challenge when she was in elementary school. She watched her father walk up and down the stairs on his hands. Wanting try it herself, Arnesen walked from the living room to the dining room on her hands for a quarter from her father. Even better, she got fifty cents when she made it back.
 
For two boxers, fighting on tonight's card is only one small piece of their contributions to the boxing club.
