The Lesbian and Gay Film Series begins with the first of six films about lesbian themes The Mark of Lilith at 7 tonight in the Women's Studies Lounge, 12 Sparks.
One film, followed by a panel discussion, will be shown each week until the series ends April 9.
The films are fictional or documentary and all deal with issues of lesbianism, said Alnisa Algood, social and educational co-director for the Lesbian and Gay Student Alliance.
The Mark of Lilith is a fictional film about a white female vampire's relationship with a black lesbian scholar and is 32 minutes long. A discussion on racism, sexism and homophobia will be held after the film.
The film series is sponsored by LGSA, the Department of Women's Studies, the Center for Women's Concerns and the Undergraduate Student Government's Department of Women's Concerns.
