Two cars damaged severely in lane-switching crash: Two cars were damaged yesterday afternoon, one severely, while traveling on East College Avenue near Hetzel Street, State College Bureau of Police Services said. No injuries were reported.
Emma W. Fritzinger, 301 Rolling Ridge Road, told police she changed lanes to avoid a person crossing the street and then hit a car driven by Youn-Tih Fung, 2203 Nittany Apartments.
Fung's vehicle jumped the curb and hit a parking meter, police said. The meter was undamaged.
Fung's car sustained $2,500 in damages and Fritzinger's vehicle sustained $1,500 damage.
Fritzinger was cited for reckless driving, police said.

Burglary: A $1,200 Gibson guitar was taken from a home in Hilltop Trailer Park between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 9 and 2:30 a.m. Feb. 10, State College police said.
The guitar, owned by Wyatt R. Wright of 64 Hilltop Trailer Park, was taken after someone knocked out a front-door window and entered the home, police said.

Theft: A deposit of cash was taken from Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers, 226 W. College Ave., between 11:30 p.m. Nov. 19 and 7 a.m. and Nov. 20, State College police said.
Police would not release the amount taken but said it totaled less than $1,000. Police said other incidents of missing deposits have been reported recently from the same establishment.
No other details were available.

Theft: A pair of glasses, valued at $230, and a $50 bag were taken from a vehicle owned by Amy Young, 22, of 434 W. College Ave. on Feb. 4, State College police said.
