Windshields of three cars broken in separate incidents: During the weekend, windshields of three vehicles were broken, according to the State College Bureau of Police Services and state police at Philipsburg.
A car belonging to Andrew Balash of Circleville Road had its windshield broken at about 9:50 Friday night, State College police said. The windshield was apparently shot out by a B-B gun, police said. No damage estimate is available.
In a separate incident, the rear windshield of a car belonging to Brian Manthey, 124 N. Patterson St., was broken sometime Saturday, State College police said.
In Philipsburg, a windshield was broken out of a truck belonging to Tracy C. Southern of Madara while it was parked in the Shay's Tavern parking lot along Route 350, state police at Philipsburg said.
The right door was dented as well, police said. Police estimated the damage at $250.

New Jersey woman injured after parking lot accident: A New Jersey woman is in satisfactory condition in Centre Community Hospital after an accident in the Uni-Mart parking lot at 440 W. College Avenue yesterday, hospital officials said.
Heidi Glucksman of Bernardsville was hospitalized with leg and arm injuries after the car she was driving hit a wall in the parking lot at 5:01 yesterday morning, State College police said.
Glucksman's passenger, Kimberly Guidone, 138 S. Atherton St., was treated and released hospital officials said.

Argument on South Garner turns into simple assault: James Lyall was treated and released from Centre Community Hospital for facial injuries after an incident on the 100 block of South Garner Street yesterday morning, State College police said.
Lyall was reportedly on his way home from the Lion's Den, 118 S. Garner St., at about 2:10 yesterday morning when an unknown person pushed him to the ground after an argument, police said.

Mercury flipped on its side by large group on Saturday: A large group of people turned a Mercury Lynx onto its side sometime between 1:05 and 1:20 Saturday morning, State College police said.
Eryn Zeigler parked her car on the 200 block of East Nittany Avenue and later discovered the vehicle was overturned half way, police said. A tow truck had to be called to upright the car.
No damage estimate was available, police said.

Pedestrian on Nittany Ave. hit by car Saturday evening: A pedestrian was injured at 8:45 Saturday night when he apparently walked into the crosswalks at Allen Street and Nittany Avenue without looking, State College police said.
Harry F. Neideigh, 66, 122 W. Nittany Ave., was hit by a car driven by Michael G. Kelley, 61, 768 W. Parkway Drive. Kelley told police he was heading south when Neideigh stepped out in front of his car. Kelley's car skidded for about 14 feet before hitting Neideigh, and the collision knocked him about 10 feet down Allen Street, police said.
Neideigh was wearing dark-colored clothing and could not have been very visible to Kelley, police said. He was in Centre Community Hospital last night in satisfactory condition. An investigation is continuing.

State College home entered while owner is on vacation: A State College police officer discovered a Metz Avenue residence had been forcefully entered while the resident was on vacation, State College police said.
Officer Duane Musser was making a routine vacation check Saturday at the Peter Podol residence, 923 Metz Ave., when he found the basement window screen had been cut and the window opened. A further investigation found all the other windows and doors locked, police said. The incident happened sometime between Thursday and Saturday.
Podol has not returned from his vacation and has not yet been notified, police said. Police did inform one of Podol's neighbors and are continuing to investigate.

Fire extinguishers removed from Findlay Commons Sun.: An undetermined number of fire extinguishers were taken from Findlay Commons and discharged out a window in Tener Hall by a group of men early Sunday morning, University Police Services said.
A University police service officer observed the extinguisher being discharged but could not locate the floor the men were on. An investigation into the incident is continuing, police said.

Criminal Mischief: Someone broke out 10 windows in the Philipsburg-Osceola High School causing about $770 in damage, state police at Philipsburg said. The incident happened sometime between 2:30 and 7 Saturday morning, police said.

Criminal Mischief: An unknown person broke a window at the Uni-Mart, 825 S. Atherton St., yesterday morning when he leaned his bike against the glass, State College police said.
An employee told police that the man leaned his bicycle against the window at 7:20 in the morning, breaking it. The man then fled the scene, police said.

Criminal Mischief: Someone sprayed a fire extinguisher on the seventh and eighth floors of Penn Towers, 255 E. Beaver Ave, at about 1:50 Saturday morning, State College police said. Police have no suspects, and no damage estimate was available.

Criminal Mischief: A window in 113 Tener Hall was broken late Friday night, University police said. The window was valued at $100.

Criminal Mischief: Tim Ackerman, 109 Pinchot Hall, reported that someone broke an exterior window at Pinchot with a rock early Sunday morning, University police said. The window was valued at $250.
