  • PSU student reports possible on-campus rape over weekend: A University student reported that she may have been raped while unconscious from intoxication sometime between late Friday night or early Saturday morning, University Police Services said.

    The woman told police she was in a residence on campus when the alleged assault may have taken place and that she knows the alleged assailants.

    University police said no arrests are imminent.

  • Four jackets removed from two fraternities over weekend: Four jackets were reported taken from two fraternities over the weekend, State College Bureau of Police Services said.

    Erin Brady, 331 Runkle, and Amanda Briggs, 310 Pennypacker, reported their coats were taken from Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, 403 Locust Lane, sometime between 11 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday, police said. Brady's coat is valued at $110 and Briggs' is valued at $65, police said.

    Two jackets were also reported taken from Acacia fraternity, 234 Locust Lane, police said. Erin Pape, Curtin Hall, reported that her $250 leather jacket was taken sometime between midnight and 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

    Also, Heather Detweiler, Stephens Hall, reported that her $200 brown jacket was taken from Acacia sometime between 1 and 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

  • $365 and watches reported taken from downtown apt.: Three roommates had money and watches, with a total value of $365, taken from their apartment at 138 S. Atherton St. sometime between 11:30 Friday night and 11:30 Saturday morning, State College police said.

    Robert Luciani reported $80 taken; Kevin Sabol reported two watches, with a total value of $145 taken; and Steven Lanzillotti reported $100 and a $40 watch taken from their apartment in The Graduate, police said.

    Police said they found no signs of forced entry into the apartment.

    Dale Olander, also of 138 S. Atherton St., reported that a watch and a gold chain, with a total value of $350, were taken from his apartment sometime early Saturday morning, police said. Police have not established any connections to the thefts.

  • Antique toothpicks pilfered from convertible downtown: A valuable antique toothpick collection and other items were taken from a Lemont man's convertible Saturday night, State College police said.

    Edward Isaacson reported someone opened his car's convertible top sometime around midnight and stole a metal briefcase, several credit cards, a checkbook, a $1,500 unset diamond and eight antique toothpicks valued at $1,200, police said. Isaacson's car was parked on the 200 block of East College Avenue.

  • Limousine taken on ride; police looking for driver: Someone drove off in a limousine belonging to Handy Delivery Taxi Service, 1001 E. College Ave., but later abandoned the car, Rockview state police said.

    The Lincoln Town Car limousine was taken from the intersection of Routes 26 and 144 in Spring Township at 12:05 Saturday morning, police said. An investigation is continuing.

  • Woman interferes with arrest; arraigned before magistrate: A 29-year-old Port Matilda woman is free on bail after being arrested for disorderly conduct early Saturday morning, State College police said.

    Betsy Hartman was arrested for using profanity in a public place and interfering with an officer while he was making an arrest at 2121 S. Atherton St. at 12:56 Saturday morning, police said.

    Hartman was arraigned before District Magistrate Clifford Yorks and released on her own recognizance, police said.

  • Man can't wait for today's Collegian; takes dispenser: An unidentified University student was apprehended carrying a Daily Collegian newspaper dispenser by University police early Saturday morning.

    A security receptionist in North Halls reported the man to police at 3:23 a.m. University police said the man informed the arresting officer that because the dispenser read, "Take One," he decided to take it.

    The student added he had wanted a dispenser since freshman year, police said. The man was cited and released.

  • Criminal Mischief: A glass panel valued at $100 was reported broken in Geary Hall by unknown persons Saturday night, University police said.

  • Criminal Mischief: A piece of concrete block was tossed through the windshield of a car belonging to Ronald Cox of Pleasant Gap, State College police said.

    The incident occurred at about 9:34 Friday night while the car was parked outside 131 Sowers St., police said.

  • Hit and Run: A University police officer discovered Saturday night that a stop light on Curtin Road by Parking Lot 44 had been damaged by an unidentified vehicle. Damage is estimated at $1,800.

  • Theft: Skis and ski bindings, valued at $550 and belonging to Sarah Millman, 1174 William St., were reported taken from a storage area at the Tussey Mountain Ski Resort sometime between Jan. 1 and 14, State College police said.

  • Theft: Two people have been charged for allegedly taking an undetermined amount of money from Philipsburg parking meters, Philipsburg state police said. The two men were spotted taking the money at 11:40 Saturday night, police said.

  • Theft: Twelve checks were reported taken from Falk Realtors, 532 E. College Ave., sometime between Jan. 16 and 19, State College police said.

    One of the checks, made out for $500, has been cashed, police said. An investigation is continuing.
