Man apprehended for drug possesion: A State College man was apprehended Saturday night for alleged possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after being pursued on foot, University Police Services said.
Police would not release the name of the man until he is charged sometime this week, police said.
University police were investigating an alleged unrelated incident on Old Main Lawn, when an officer noticed the man lighting a pipe filled with a substance later identified as marijuana, police said.
While police attempted to get the man to empty his pockets, the man took flight, police said.
The man was caught in front of Atherton Hall, police said.

S.C. man charged for simple assault: A South Williamsport man was charged for simple assault yesterday morning after he allegedly punched a State College man in the mouth at the Phryst, 111 1/2 E. Beaver Ave., State College Bureau of Police Services said.
Louis Knapp is being held in lieu of $1,000 bail at Centre County Jail, police said.
Knapp allegedly struck Clark King of 318 Holmes in the mouth after getting into an argument with King's girlfriend, police said.

Criminal Mischief: The windshields and rear windows of two delivery cars belonging to Lee's Hoagie House, 222 W. Beaver Ave., were smashed yesterday morning, State College police said.
The cars were parked outside the establishment, police said.
Police could not estimate the cost of the damages.

Criminal Mischief: The front window of The Bicycle Shop, 441 W. College Ave., was broken Saturday night causing $200 in damages, State College Police said.
No items inside the store were taken, police said. The incident is under investigation.

Criminal Trespass: An unknown person or persons entered 409 Ritner Hall on Friday and scattered articles in the room, University police said.
There was no sign of forced entry and nothing appeared to have been taken, police said. Police did not know if the door to the room had been locked.
The incident is under investigation.

Theft: Items valued at $578 were taken Saturday from an Arts Festival booth located at the 100 block of West Fairmount Avenue, State College police said.
The items included ring display stands, plastic crystal ring boxes and jewelry design signs, police said. The booth was operated by Micheal Helam of Santa Rosa, Calif., police said.

Theft: A printed mat of a white house covered with snow, valued at $90, was taken Saturday night from a festival booth located on the 100 block of West Fairmount Avenue, State College police said.
The booth was operated by Phil Metzger of Rockville, Md., police said.
It was unclear if the two festival thefts were related, police said.
