Advertisers should be cautious when using "black English" in advertisements because some may find it offensive, according to a study by a group of University faculty members.
 
About 90 high school students taking summer courses at seven Commonwealth campuses visited University Park last week as part of the University's Minority Advanced Placement Program.
 
Although dodging construction sites and holding class amidst the din of working machinery may have become daily pastimes, University officials say summertime is prime time for construction on campus.
 
The University community considers the Supreme Court's decision in Webster vs. Reproductive Health Services as the beginning of a trend that may ultimately reverse the Court's 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision that legalized abortion.
 
Despite student opposition, the July 1 restructuring that changes Circleville Farm from a student-managed operation to a competitive grant system for faculty projects will be completed by next spring, said the farm's operator.

The Penn State athletic department began a series a departmental changes Friday when Ellen L. Perry, an assistant to the athletic director since 1981, was selected to replace Della Durant as associate athletic director, a job that has been recently redesigned.
 
With the graduation of All-Americans Chris Chase and Robert Pierce, the nationally-ranked men's volleyball program was in need of a good recruiting season.
