NEWS
 
Signs stating "Milk-Fed Means Misery" and "Antibiotics for Dinner" were carried by about 25 to 30 protesters Friday evening outside two State College restaurants as part of National Veal Boycott Day.
 
An international journalists' symposium held today and Tuesday in the HUB Assembly Room will offer University students and faculty a chance to look at America from an international perspective.
 
University students this month are joining people across the country to celebrate the anniversary of the gay men and lesbian rights movement.
 
While local animal rights activists claim veal calves are housed improperly and malnourished, the Pennsylvania Beef Council maintains the animals living conditions are in their best interest.
 
The School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management soon will be renovating its facilities with the help of a $500,000 gift from the J. Willard Marriott Foundation.
 
 
SPORTS
 
Two-sport All-Americans are considered a rarity in collegiate sports. However, an All-American on and off the field is something unheard of today.
