Calling it a "business decision," State College Borough Councilman Peter Lang has proposed giving local landlords the power to refuse tenants only on the basis of their ability to pay monthly rental fees. The plan comes after the recent council rejection of a local Fair Housing Ordinance on May 1.
 
A six-month battle between University officials and two students involved in a November protest against CIA recruitment on campus, ended last month in dismissal for one and probation for the other.
 
The 20th annual Pennsylvania Special Olympics Summer Games kicked off with an evening of excitement and anticipation last night as athletes, coaches, and families celebrated the official opening of the three-day event.
 
In an attempt to provide local municipalities with flexibility and guidance in their future growth, the Centre Regional Planning Commission last night approved revisions to its Centre Region Comprehensive Plan.
