The University began posting anti-homophobia posters on campus Friday morning as part of an effort to combat intolerant behavior at the University.
 
The 7th annual Phi Sig Superstars raised $47,460 for the Vincent Scott Sandoe Leukemia Fund Saturday, more than doubling last year's total of $21,000, said Overall Chairman Chris Bannon.
 
University faculty members and a guest speaker from the University of Monterrey, Mexico celebrated World Health Day on Friday with a panel discussion addressing issues concerning the promotion of global health through cross-cultural experiences and practices.

After having nine straight games postponed or cancelled due to bad weather, the baseball team may have been wondering if it would play another game this season. On Sunday, however, the Lions finally got a chance to play as they swept a double-header from Rider College.
 
The softball team opened Atlantic 10 conference season play yesterday by dropping a doubleheader at Massachusetts, 1-0 and 4-0.
 
After two consistent rounds at the Vanderbilt Music City Intercollegiate Invitational, the men's golf team could not keep up with the competition on the final day.
 
When the men's lacrosse team took the field Friday night against Kutztown, it did not have any doubts about the outcome. Total annihilation was the name of the Lions' game, and it just ended up just the way they expected. The score could have been much higher than the final of 25-5 if Coach Glenn Thiel had played his best players the full game.
 
Behind an MVP performance by Robert Pierce, the men's volleyball team crushed Ohio State on Friday in three games at the Hall of Fame Classic in Holyoke, Mass.
 
When Rutgers is dropped from the women's lacrosse team's schedule next season, the Lady Knights will breathe a sigh of relief.
