No meaning

The reader opinion section of the Daily Collegian has always been concerned with important issues. I've noticed, however, that a very important issue hasn't been discussed here this semester.

Who is Marsea and why is her comic being printed on the adjacent page?

I've been reading the Collegian for most of my four years at Penn State. I've seen numerous attempts at comic strips by students. Most have been good.

Marsea's, however, insults the intellect of Penn State students. A comic is supposed to show an aspect of life in a way that sheds new meaning on it. At the very least, it should be humorous.

Marsea's comic sheds no meaning on any aspect of life. It shows everyday campus life in a bland, humorless manner.

My only theory for its presence is the Collegian's need to fill space. If this is the case, I'd rather see a blank block of white space than a poorly drawn, mindless comic.
