Tanya Burnett, president of Black Caucus, yesterday endorsed Kendall Houk and Jeff Ballou in their bid for Undergraduate Student Government president and vice president.
Burnett emphasized she was not speaking on behalf of her organization.
"Houk and Ballou are the most knowledgeable candidates on African-American concerns," she said. "They will really work for us."
Burnett, a panelist at March 15's USG vice-presidential debate, said she decided to endorse the Houk/Ballou ticket after representatives of all the tickets were interviewed by Black Caucus yesterday and Monday. Burnett also said her observations at the vice-presidential debate played a major part in her decision.
Like most other student organizations, Black Caucus declined to endorse a candidate for USG executive positions.
