-- Celebrating its first Mardi Gras under the direction of its new music director, Douglas Meyer, the Penn State Philharmonic will present a Viennese Ball at 8 p.m. Saturday in the HUB Grand Ballroom.
The ball is presented by the orchestra to raise funds for its planned tour of eastern Europe in 1990. Tickets cost $3 for singles and $5 per couple with a valid Penn State student I.D. Other tickets cost $4 per single and $6 per couple. Call the orchestra office for information and reservations at 863-0696. Both listeners and dancers are invited.
