The Association of Residence Hall Students voted last night to support the Lesbian/Gay Student Alliance's bid for greater representation.

The Nittany Lion Inn recently was recognized as Treadway Corporation's first "Classic Inn of the Year," an award given for the inn's quality service and standards, a Treadway spokeswoman said.

A renovation proposal converting an old Bellefonte building to a center for area human service agencies is underway as county commissioners continue to select contractors for the project.

Local authorities yesterday released descriptions of two men suspected of sexually assaulting two State College women in separate incidents early Sunday morning.

Centre Area Transportation Authority officials yesterday promoted one of the authority's three mechanics to a newly created supervisory position in preparation for taking on more maintenance personnel.

An art exhibit featuring visual interpretations of music, called The Colour of Sounds is on display in the HUB Formal Gallery until Feb. 10.

The performance of the Outer Dimensions Jazz Orchestra and the Jazz Lab Band on Friday evening proved that the jazz program, even at its lower performing levels, can be highly entertaining.

Viola soloists are rare in the world of musical performers. The instrument is usually delegated to the 'oom-pa-pa' style of accompaniment by most composers, said Paul Neubauer, a renowned violist who will be appearing in concert at 3 p.m. this Sunday in Schwab Auditorium.

It was "s'wonderful" to step back in time to the roaring 20s in glamorous style. Last Friday night the Center for the Performing Arts presented My One and Only to a nearly full house of young and old Gershwinites.

Officials from the Palmer Museum of Art are planning to add an extra wing to accommodate numerous works of art which, because of space limitations, are rarely seen by the public.
