The Undergraduate Student Government Senate last night did not resolve its official position on USG President Seth Williams' demand for Vice President for Student Services William W. Asbury's resignation.
 
Some people like to talk on the telephone, but members of the Penn State Amateur Radio Club enjoy communicating to other countries and states by bouncing waves off the moon.
 
The open budget issue aside, Paul Breza (senior-horticulture-business) has a concern he would like to discuss with University President Bryce Jordan.
 
The Community Development Program of State College has allocated $40,000 to renovate State College's only homeless shelter that helps "people who are forgotten in this area," one worker there said.
 
State College native Jerry Wettstone took the State College Borough Council oath of office last night as he was appointed to complete the term of former borough council president John Dombroski, who died on Dec. 8.
 
Nationwide concern about air safety prompted by December's Pan Am crash will not alter the University's study abroad programs.
 
Center County Commissioners failed to pass a motion yesterday that would have reclassified the job of Centre County District Attorney to a full-time position.

SPORTS
 
Eleven days ago the women's basketball team saw its record slip to 3-7 after an 83-69 defeat at the hands of St. Joseph's. A loss to Maryland at home followed three days later, and the Lady Lions found themselves in the midst of a four-game losing streak, the longest in team history.
 
After losing the point guard job to Dawn Chambers in the preseason, you could hardly blame freshman guard Dana Eikenberg if she was upset. Instead of complaining about her playing time,however, she continued to work hard and wait for an opportunity to prove herself.

The symptoms are universally recognized -- a tendency to take easy courses, a practice of skipping more classes than normal and a constant anxiety about the future.
