Police Log

    Theft: Items valued at $1,000 were reportedly taken, from a State College apartment between Dec. 14 and Friday. John Hewitt, 925 Belaire Ave., reported textbooks, a cordless telephone, hand towels, 40 compact discs and three compact disc holders missing from his apartment Friday, State College Bureau of Police Services said. The apartment was entered through a rear door that was reportedly locked, police said.

    Breaking/Entering: The residence of Rebecca Macey, 409 S. Atherton St., was reportedly broken into sometime Friday night, State College police said. Macey was not at home when suspects entered her home through an unlocked window. Nothing was missing from the residence, police said.

    Theft: Skis and bindings worth $326 belonging to George Emteen, 523 Easterly Parkway, were reportedly stolen sometime between Dec. 17 and Friday from a locker at the Tussey Mountain Ski lodge, State College police said. Police said thieves pried a lock off the locker to gain entrance.

    Theft: Clothing worth $260, reported taken from the closet of Jane Byron, 109 Cooper Hall, sometime over break, University Police Services reported.

    Criminal Mischief: A State College man was cited early Saturday morning for letting the air out the tire on a police car, State College police said. Daniel W. Ressler, 21, 425 Locust Lane, was charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly let air out of the tire of a State College police cruiser parked in the 100 block of Calder Way.
