Ever since Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte took to the streets in 48 Hours, Hollywood crime dramas have become suspiciously similar. After all, if a recipe works, why change it? Take one murder. Add two rival cops, a car chase, one romantic subplot, and a dash of humor. Finally, fold in a barroom brawl to unite our heroes. In approximately 90 minutes you should have one profitable police drama.
