The day has arrived for students to vote for the Undergraduate Student Government and Association of Residence Hall Students candidates of their choice by visiting one of the many polls located on campus.

A bill requiring telephone customers to submit written requests to the telephone company if they want access to sexually explicit message services needs Gov. Robert P. Casey's signature to become law.

Today is not only the day to elect new Undergraduate Student Government leaders. For students who live in the dorms, it is also the day to elect Association of Residence Halls Students representatives.

The Women's Resource Center will officially begin its Capital Campaign on April 17 to raise $225,000 for a new shelter house in State College for victims of domestic violence and their children, said committee chairwoman Louise Sandmeyer.

Nittany Notes, 234 E.College Ave., is creating a new community newspaper and hopes to put out its first edition tomorrow, said Nittany Notes owner James Reeder.

Centre House, a Centre County shelter for the homeless, could get a new building if the State College Zoning hearing board allows it a special exception to use a community, office and residentially zoned property as a shelter for the homeless.

Don't call them disabled students. They are students with a disability.

Alright, time to check off your Penn State accomplishments:

The University Student Executive Council must design its own make-up, University President Bryce Jordan said last week.

Employees can demonstrate their commitment to the University by helping solicit funds for the Campaign for Penn State, University President Bryce Jordan told about 500 campaign volunteers in the HUB Ballroom yesterday.

Through the doors and in each of the labs of the University's Materials Research Laboratory, researchers are working together to develop and perfect materials used in the latest technology as well as by the general public.

The women's tennis team is hoping for some good weather today when it travels to Bucknell for a 3:30 match.

When a team relies heavily on one player to do the scoring for too long, it usually gets burned.
