Even though some advertising portrays women with careers in addition to homes and families, women have not become more equal -- just more tired, a University official said.

University representatives will travel to Washington, D.C. today to meet with important federal lawmakers and present their concerns regarding the impact of recent graduate tax changes.

The Undergraduate Student Government Senate continued the push for answers in the Dana Bailey case last night by approving another letter that will be sent to local officials requesting information on the murder investigation.

HARRISBURG -- University President Bryce Jordan appealed to the House Appropriations Committee yesterday for a larger commitment to higher education in the form of increased state funding for Penn State.

The remains of a vintage World War II fighter plane and its pilot, a State College auto dealer, were found yesterday afternoon on the side of Pine Grove Mountain about 2 miles from Route 26 south of State College, Rockview State Police said.

The federal government is sponsoring a new type of student loan program for undergraduates this year, but the University is not participating because of the higher costs it poses for students and its limited scope.

The mention of steroids often conjures up images of athletes desperate to make themselves bigger, faster or stronger, but according to experts, steroids -- the risks of which are not fully understood -- are not used by athletes alone.

About 21 posters stating "Racism has a prominent place at Penn State" were found and taken down by University Police Services from several locations around campus Monday morning.

SPORTS

The women's tennis team traveled south with eight of its best players over spring break and had a successful 3-2 campaign.
