A preliminary hearing for a 15-year-old boy charged with the Dec. 24 shotgun death of David Lynn Smith of Philipsburg is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Clearfield County Prison before District Justice Michael Rudella.

More local visual artists can display their work at this summer's Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, thanks to the creation of a central/regional division in the 1988 Sidewalk Sale.

The men's volleyball team -- ranked No. 1 by Volleyball Monthly has made a lot of progress, even though its NCAA season doesn't begin until later this month at Rec Hall.

The men's swimming and diving team won the 400-yard freestyle relay, the final race of a 13-event meet, to down Pittsburgh 115-102 in a dual meet at Pitt on Saturday.
