New Orleans Times-Picayune sportwriter William Kalec (’02) takes the podium to talk candidly about Hurricane Katrina and how his newspaper handled the disaster. Kalec, who covered Penn State football while at The Daily Collegian, led the impromptu gathering last fall in the Collegian Classroom. Fellow Collegian alumni Rob Riva (’04), shown at right, Matt Yoder (’04) and Jeff Rice (’03) also attended the session.
